Avril Thompson

Avril read Music at Bristol University and then gained an M.A. in Music Education at Reading University.  She was Director of Music at the Hatters Lane School and subsequently Director of Music at Aylesbury High School for 18 years.  She has conducted her choirs at many venues including the Royal Festival Hall & Symphony Hall, Birmingham.

In addition to her freelance teaching commitments she is a composer.  Her eight Musicals for young people have been performed frequently by schools and youth groups throughout this country and in France.
