School Rules
- Correct uniform must be worn at all times and is purchased from the school only.
- Children who do not come correctly attired will not be taught. Our children are taught to work in the entertainment industry and so our rules adhere to standards and disciplines within the profession. Shoes should be cleaned weekly.
- Girls with long hair must have it slicked back neatly in a bun (Not a ponytail simply held by a bun net!) Girls with short hair should wear a fine net and a hair band to keep the hair back. Boys must ensure their hair is not a hindrance to their eye lines when dancing.
- No jewellery (with the exception of medical bracelets) or watches are to be worn. Jackie Palmer Stage School will not take responsibility for valuables of any kind therefore please do not bring them onto the premise.
- Mobile phones are not allowed to be on during class without prior arrangement with the teacher. Phones will be confiscated if this occurs.
- Any unruly or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated, we expect children to be polite and well mannered at all times.
- At no point are friends, parents, or relatives allowed to view the classes. (This includes watching through windows which is very unfair on the class as a whole)
- Please note that the whole of St.Augustine`s premises is a non-smoking area, and this applies to the grounds of the school as well.
- Please take all litter home with you.
If any discipline issues arrive:
- The teacher will speak to the student. (If the teacher feels its necessary they will sit them out)
- If the behaviour persists they will then be excluded from class. (If this happens they will be under adult supervision away from the class)
- If by the following week the behaviour is still unacceptable the school manager or principal will contact parents to discuss a way forward.
- As a last resort the student will be excluded from the school (On a rare occasion this happens the terms fees will not be refunded)
